Diving trip

I am awaiting information about an 8 day trip to the Red Sea in January. I really want to go but as I am moving country at the end of January I am now un sure when I should put in my resignation to work. They know that I am leaving but they do not know when.

I am unsure if I should just hand my notice in and say sod work and just hope for the diving trip to go ahead, or try and persuade them that I should be allowed to take unpaid leave. I have to put my notice in by mid November.

Scuba diving and stuff

Last weekend I went on my scuba diving training, I passed and I am now allowed to dive anywhere in the world. The group that I went with are looking at going to Nemo33, the deepest pool in the world, it is based in Belgium, we are going for a muck around; can't wait.

In other news, my lovely husband has been posted to the UK, so we are moving at the end of January back to the UK. I am not looking forward to locating a job that pays well.

If anyone is up for going to Leeds for Wendy House this month I will see you there.

Bloody typical

Yesterday I decided that I needed a day off work to study for my forth coming exam. So I asked my boss if he minds a short notice day off which he agreed. While in work I watched an amazing thunder and lightning storm that lasted for about an hour, when I came home I looked at my garden, a few plants were battered about but thought no more of it.

This morning I decided that I should get some washing done so I went into the cellar to find half and inch of water with mud and other things. So today rather than study I have been sweeping up the dirty stinking water in my cellar and have not even managed to pick up a book. When it drys out I then have to disinfect the cellar otherwise it will smell, I have had to throw things out as not everything was off the ground and buy more racks for the cellar.

Not quite the relaxing day I had imagined.

I can tell V is away

On Friday I decided to cook dinner like normal, however this time when I lit the gas oven I got a blow back and have burnt my hands and face. I am lucky as I was wearing long sleeves otherwise my arms would have been burt.

What I find really annoying is that the oven has been serviced and worked on at lease 4 times since November as I kept on reporting this problem, or that the thermostat was not working.

Alone again

Last night/early this morning I dropped V of to catch a coach for sunnier climates for 6 - 7 months. Feeling slightly confused now, not sure what I should do as it will all be by myself. I think today I am going to swim 1 - 2 km, as that should kill about 2 - 3 hours of my day, this includes walking to the pool, stopping of for a coffee and then walking home.

If anyone fancies a shot break to come and visit you are very welcome. We could go clubbing in Köln, or just sit in a coffee shop catching up.

I have just had an interesting last couple of days of listening to rumors about one person I know quite well and one I have just met. I decided it was a good idea to introduce the person who is suppose to be spreading the rumors and the person who they are meant to be about. We had a great laugh and are going out for a girls night out this saturday.

I also found out the I am a lesbian because I took a female friend out for dinner as her husband is away, just like mine. Bugger I should have know this before I said yes to getting married.

Life is a giggle. :-) Come party over here soon, please......

There were three of us having the op and all of us were let home at 6 pm that evening.

I can remember complaining that there were to many people in the operating theater and the anesthetics asking what I wanted, the rest of the time I was asleep.

Today I feel better than I have been with my wisdom teeth.
Fun at work

I finally got annoyed at work. The Easter holidays mean everyone brings their children into work. They are not insured and are quite annoying.

On Thursday I brought my husband into work instead. I informed my work colleages, who thought it very amusing and thought that he would be sat in my office being quiet while I worked. Instead I dropped him off in the medical library for a couple of hours. At 11am he got invited to cakes and coffee then went back into the library. It was all good fun, my boss was amused about bring-a-husband-into-work-day.

Then I almost messed up. I packed up, locked up said goodbye to everyone and started to walk out of the building, it was only by luck that I remembered my husband before leaving for home.

Cars

I took my car in for a service the other day, my car was working fine. When I collected my car I was told that there was over €2000 worth of damage and that they would claim it on my insurance. I was rather upset and went of with my car that was no longer working properly.

I am currently doing research on air conditioning units for my car and how much parts cost as that is one thing what the garage has said is wrong. I am waiting for a Haynes manual so I can look it up and see if I can fix it myself. Personnal I think that they are trying to rip me off as a 4 year old car should not have that type of damage.

The other thing they did was disconnect my turbos. Very annoyed as I have to reconnect them as this does screw the engine up after some time.

Any one fancy a break helping me go over my car sometime?
